Zhukov to head up Volga-Dnepr energy & heavy machinery industries

Volga-Dnepr Group has appointed Vasiliy Zhukov as global director of energy & heavy machinery to continue growth in these industry areas.

Zhukov joined Volga-Dnepr in 2015 having spent five years working for one of Russia’s largest power engineering and construction corporations. He is the fourth global industry director after Axel Kaldschmidt, who is responsible for aerospace, Fayçal Boumerkhoufa, who covers oil & gas, and Colon Miller, who is in charge of government & defence programmes.

Commenting on his new role, Zhukov says: “At Volga-Dnepr Group we are constantly developing relationships with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) in power and heavy machinery in order to learn more about their transportation and logistics challenges.”

“When it comes to power plant unit repairs, for example, time is money so our customers value the fast and reliable response we can deliver.”

Volga-Dnepr has completed over 1,400 deliveries for power & energy customers including power generation, power transmission and distribution shipments as well as other power plant components such as valves and heat exchangers.
