Wallenborn embeds EDIfly into its transport management system

Luxembourg-based Wallenborn has now embedded EDIfly into its advanced transport management system to support free encrypted messaging for its airline clients and ground handling partners.

To underpin Wallenborn’s customer-centric approach, two leading all-cargo airlines head-quartered in Europe will immediately benefit from EDIfly’s automatic routing capability enabling free and unrestricted exchanges with their global ground handling partners.

The proven messaging technology EDIfly is provided by Innovative Software SARL from Luxembourg, launched in 2012 with Cargolux International Airlines, will automatically provide a smart cost-savings feature to a growing number of partners in ground handling, warehouse management, airline trucking, forwarding, logistics, cargo community systems or even some governments.

Jason Breakwell, commercial director at Wallenborn explains: “We saw the need to invest in this advanced technique to provide our international customer base with a low-cost transmission mode, automatically diverting messages from costly legacy providers.

“It allows airlines to work completely without a connection to legacy providers, while relying on the global IATA messaging standards including and end-to-end encryption – avoiding unsecured email for mission-critical communication. In addition, the implementation was completely seamless and didn’t require training for any of our operational staff.”

Ingo Roessler, chief commercial officer of Innovative Software SARL adds: “Our team is thrilled to onboard a leading European Road Feeder Provider of airlines to our EDIfly community messaging technology. The implementation of EDIfly is extremely simple for our customers as EDIfly relies on the same addresses as already in use by legacy aviation messaging providers such as SITA, ARINC, CargoCommunity-Systems, etc.”

EDIfly adds value to the exchanges as there is an instant proof-of-delivery trough a digital signature. The tech company says this means comprehensive process control for business partners and a secured exchange not available in traditional means, in particular email.
