Silk Way adds connection to Tianjin

Silk Way West Airlines will start twice-weekly services to Tianjin, connecting the Chinese city with its hub in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The service will operate on Fridays and Sundays, offering transit options the industrial centre in Northern China to global markets via Baku.

Silk Way West president, Wolfgang Meyer says: “With this service we will close the strategic gap in offering as well full freighter services to booming Northern China.”

He adds: “We have noticed a strong demand East and West bound with automotive and aerospace related goods leading the commodity list. Throughout the whole planning process there was a great cooperation with representatives of Tianjin Airport in order to set up the new flight for us for which we are thankful.”
