Qatar Airways becomes first carrier to fly A350 to the US

Qatar Airways has today become the first airline to fly the Airbus A350 to the US from Hamad International Airport to New York’s JFK International Airport.

The carrier operates seven A350s and an eighth will join the fleet before the end of the year and is scheduled to fly daily to Philadelphia from 1 January 1, 2016.

Qatar Airways’ fleet of seven A350s fly twice a day to Frankfurt (Germany), daily to Munich and three times a day to Singapore from Doha.

An eighth A350 will join the fleet before the end of the year and is scheduled to fly daily to Philadelphia from 1 January, 2016.

As further A350s join the fleet throughout next year, Qatar Airways will start flights to Los Angeles (US) in January, Boston (US) on 16 March, a new second daily flight to New York from 1 April, to Adelaide (Australia) from 2 May and Atlanta (US) in June.
