Q1 volumes rise of 3.5% at Dubai

Freight volumes at Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the first quarter (Q1) of 2017 were up 3.5 per cent to 636,479 tonnes.

Operator Dubai Airports says the hub handled 615,144 tonnes in the corresponding quarter last year.

The Q1 result was positively impacted by an 8.4 per cent boost in cargo volumes in March with 235,503 tonnes being handled compared to 217,202 tonnes in the same period last year.
