Pemco World Air Services has signed an agreement to provide Air Incheon with a Boeing 737-400 passenger-to-freighter conversion.
South Korea-based Air Incheon already operates one Pemco converted 737-400 and the new aircraft will join the fleet in the third quarter of 2017.
Air Incheon founder and president, YK Park says: “We chose PEMCO to expand our fleet based on our experience with its B737-400 aircraft conversions. We are pleased with the performance and recognise the quality, reliability, and value it brings to our company.”
Pemco director of conversion programs, Mike Andrews says: “We’re honoured that Air Incheon again chose us for its fleet expansion program. We look forward to supporting Air Incheon’s mission to become a leader in regional air cargo transport.”
The Pemco 737-400 has a payload of up to 48,000 pounds of cargo and 4,600 cubic feet of total volume.
Air Incheon, the first all-cargo airline in Korea, specialises in perishables, machinery and dangerous goods with a focus on the Russian Far East market, and local routes to Japan, China and Mongolia.
