Paris Charles de Gaulle aiming for IATA CEIV certificate

Aeroport de Paris is to work with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to implement Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) certification with the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport cargo community.

Seven major names in transport and logistics, Europe Handling Group, Panalpina, Quickstat, Swissport, Tendron, Transdev and WFS have committed to obtaining CEIV Pharma certification, and Alyzia and DB Schenker will join soon.

Most of the participating companies are expected to gain certification by the end of the year.

The certificate is designed to ensure a worldwide standard in international regulations for the transport of pharmaceutical products, and Air France Cargo and Bollore Logistics are already certified at Charles de Gaulle.

The initiative has been supported by associations including Transport and Logistics of France, Interprofessional Committee for Freight and Union of French Air Freight Companies.
