Menzies Aviation expands partnership with i6

Menzies Aviation, the leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, has extended its partnership with i6, a leader in digital fuel management technology, to four additional UK airports, including London Stansted, Leeds Bradford, Birmingham and Teesside International.

The secure technology enhances real-time operations across airport fuel supply chains, maximising efficiency while providing accurate data and digitised, paperless operations.

Technology being deployed at the four additional UK airports in conjunction with Menzies includes Fusion6, an into-plane refuelling platform, and Reconcile6, a fuel inventory management platform. Together, they offer a range of benefits such as saving operational costs, improving safety, and providing real-time refuelling information and fuel optimisation.

The innovative Fusion6 platform integrates live data from airports and airlines, providing full remote visibility of ground fuelling operations – ensuring the refueller is always in the right place at the right time. Reconcile6 is used to track the movement of fuel across the airport supply chain, offering real-time inventory management, fuel stock accounting, and reconciliation.

“i6 has proved to be an excellent solution for our fuel operations in the UK and we are very excited to increase the number of locations in this region. So far, i6 has helped us in improving our operational efficiency with real-time data for better planning and fuel order allocation. By enhancing the digitalisation of our operations with industry-leading technology, we continue to lead the way with safe and efficient aviation services,” Marco di Mario, SVP Fuels, Menzies Aviation, said.

Airline and energy suppliers at locations with i6 technology will also be able to access eHandshake® and Perspective6 from i6 Group. eHandshake® offers real-time refuelling connectivity for into-plane operators and airlines, while Perspective6 provides a real-time view of global airline and supplier information with advanced reporting. These features enable airlines and fuel suppliers to manage their supply chains more effectively, collect data anywhere, and identify further fuel efficiencies.

“Our solutions provide real-time inventory management, cloud-based into-plane refuelling, and paperless communication between refueller and pilots. The aviation industry can now take advantage of these technologies and fully digitise fuelling operations to optimise operational efficiency and fuel usage,” Steve Uhrmacher, CEO, i6 Group, said.
