Kewill becomes WCA vendor and adds WIN connectivity to MOVE platform

Logistics software company Kewill has become the WCA’s latest vendor and has begun adding Worldwide Information Network (WIN) connectivity to its MOVE forwarding platform.

The MOVE platform is designed to help companies collaborate, reduce costs, manage volatility and automate processes across the entire supply chain while WIN is an online platform for independent freight forwarders to connect with agents, airlines, container lines and other logistics service providers.

Kewill chief executive officer (CEO), Doug Braun says: “MOVE’s architecture already supports seamless connectivity and the new connection to WIN will give our customers broad reach to reduce their reliance on email and redundant data handling by exchanging shipment data, documents, and milestones with their WCA agency partners.”

WCA CEO, Dan March says: “WCA is firmly established as the largest and most successful network for independent logistics providers – and the only one with the ambition and resources to develop solutions like WIN to directly benefit members.”

WIN managing director, John DeBenedette adds: “Independent forwarders already have an edge on service and local expertise but lag behind their multinational rivals on seamless IT connectivity.”

“WIN makes the systems of forwarders anywhere in the world interoperable so they can work on a level playing field with multinationals who have more homogeneous IT landscapes.”
