London Southend Airport based JOTA Aviation is reportedly exploring the marketplace and looking at possibly introducing BAe 146QT freighters into its fleet either through outright acquisitions or leases.

Reports claim the UK ACMI/charter operator is looking at the addition of the aircraft in response to increased demand for freight-flying from its client base.

JOTA now operates a freighter, a Beech King Air E90 G-JOTA, a dedicated large cargo door aircraft and reportedly feels the 146QT is a natural progression and development for the company.

JOTA recently applied to the US Department of Transportation for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) to allow it operate scheduled and charter flights between the European Union and the US.

JOTA Aviation is part of the JOTA Group, which comprises of JOTA sPORT, JOTA Design and JOTA Historic, and was set up six years ago to cater for the travel and cargo demands of the motorsports industry.
