ECS wins GSSA contract with Jetstar Asia

ECS wins GSSA contract with Jetstar Asia

The ECS Group has been appointed as the general sales and service agent (GSSA) for Singapore-based carrier Jetstar Asia.

ECS will look after the airline’s cargo business through Singapore Changi Airport and the 25 stations across its network from 22 October.

This expansive network includes stations in Asia and the carrier is especially prominent in emerging air cargo markets like Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and has flights to Myanmar.

As part of the contract, ECS chief operating officer, Adrien Thominet says the company will set up a dedicated office in Singapore to meet the needs and demands of Jetstar.

He says the contract is for total cargo management and ECS will look to boost Jetstar’s cargo sales while it will also manage freight enquiries, reservations and processes on behalf of the carrier.

Jetstar has a range of interline agreements with the likes of Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, China Southern, Turkish Airlines, and KLM, which further widens the network coverage for cargo sales.
