Caspian Air Cargo Summit brings together delegates from more than 40 countries

On 23-25th October, Silk Way West Airlines, the leading cargo airline in the Caspian and Central Asian region, hosted this year’s edition of the Caspian Air Cargo Summit at the JW Marriott Absheron Hotel Baku.

The summit is the largest and most comprehensive aviation event in the region, bringing distinguished participants from around the world to the Caspian Sea.

The Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2023 gathered government officials, international air cargo industry leaders and logistic experts in the capital of Azerbaijan. About 400 delegates from more than 40 countries, as well as representatives of 18 regional offices of Silk Way West Airlines from different parts of the world participated in this great event.

During the two-day conference, current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the airfreight sector were discussed and innovative solutions for the future were explored.

Representatives from key players in the global air cargo industry such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, TIACA, Turkish Airlines, Rolls-Royce, GE Aerospace, ACL Airshop, Alibaba Group, Kales Group, Dnata, Hactl and others shared valuable information and updates on the future cargo aircraft and next-generation engines, and discussed sustainability and innovation in logistics and supply chains, highlighting the growing role of e-commerce in logistics and air cargo.

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the gala dinner, held in the most exquisite venue of the city, the Gulustan Palace. Guests enjoyed unforgettable musical performances, which provided a vivid display of the rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.

The 9th edition of the Summit, the foundation of which was laid back in 2006, and over the years has become one of the leading business forums of the country. This year’s event was the best ever attended, showcasing our sector’s dynamism, opening up new perspectives and uniting key industry players with a shared vision for the future,” said Wolfgang Meier, President of Silk Way West Airlines.
