Cargolux CV7303 returns to Kuala Lumpur due to fire

Cargolux Airlines International flight CV7303 had to return to Kuala Lumpur shortly after take-off after the crew reported the presence of fire and smoke in the cockpit.

Flight CV7303 was en-route to Zhengzhou, China using aircraft LX-VCJ when the crew made the decision to return to Kuala Lumpur where it landed safely.

Cargolux says the rescue services were alerted and the runway was temporarily closed before reopening once the aircraft was returned to the ramp.

The crew were unharmed, authorities have been informed and Cargolux says it is fully cooperating in the investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
