Air Partner helps Libya rebuild airport infrastructure

Air Partner has transported equipment to help update Libya’s airport infrastructure, operating a flight from the Czech Republic to Libya.

The flight was on behalf of a Libyan logistics company to transport 1.1 tonnes of cargo from Brno-Turany Airport to Al Abraq International Airport in eastern Libya using an Antonov AN-26 on 22 September.

The shipment contained a variety of parts from various European manufacturers including radio communication equipment, weather stations, antennas and runway lighting.

Air Partner director of freight, Mike Hill says: “We were pleased to complete this important flight as a significant step in the renewal of airport services in eastern Libya. The improvement of conditions on the ground will not only facilitate the continued work of NGOs in the area but also assist future aviation operations and commerce in Libya.”
